Our work in support of Canterbury Cathedral, its worship life and programs, began in the mid-1990’s. Under the leadership of the Reverend Dr. John C. Harper, FOCCUS raised funds for the Canterbury’s new International Study Center.

Now, in partnership with Canterbury’s energetic Dean, the Very Rev. Dr. Robert A. Willis, The Rt. Rev. Peter James Lee, Interim Rector of Christ Church, Georgetown, Washington, DC, serves as Chair of FOCCUS. Our primary functions are to raise scholarship funds for seminarians and young clergy from all over the world who need financial aid to participate in the Cathedral scholars’ program and to support and promote Canterbury Cathedral throughout the United States.

FOCCUS sponsors seminars, concerts, dinners and fundraising events around the United States. A pilgrimage from France to Canterbury was a recent highlight. Such programs strengthen the connection of FOCCUS to Canterbury Cathedral.
